# Automatic savings

Saving for rent can be tough, but RentEase makes it a little easier with our automatic savings feature. Here's how it works:

With RentEase's automatic savings feature, it's easier than ever to save for rent and reach your financial goals.

1. **Set up automatic savings transfers**: Go to the "Savings" tab in your RentEase account and click on "Set Up Automatic Transfers." Select the amount you want to transfer and the frequency (e.g. every week or every month).
2. **Link your checking account**: Enter the routing and account numbers for your checking account. This is the account that the transfers will be taken from.
3. **Set up a rent savings account**: If you don't already have one, you'll need to set up a dedicated rent savings account. This is where your automatic savings transfers will be deposited. You can choose to set up a new account with RentEase or link an existing account.
4. **Customize your transfers**: You can customize your automatic savings transfers based on your budget and savings goals. For example, you can choose to transfer a fixed amount each month or a percentage of your rent payment. You can also choose to have the transfers start on a specific date or after a certain number of rent payments.
5. **View your savings progress**: You can view your savings progress by going to the "Savings" tab in your RentEase account. Here, you can see how much you've saved, how many transfers have been made, and how close you are to your savings goal.
